Design your own global curriculum

What’s your global career goal?

If your dream is to lead a global business or to have a business career which requires frequent interaction with people around the world, then OneMBA was specifically designed for you. However, if your goal is to climb the corporate ladder, shift to a new functional area, or start a business, you may have fewer global responsibilities, but it is are still important to have global awareness. In this case, the Weekend or Evening MBA Program, which allow you to customize your curriculum, may be a better fit.

How does your global career goal match-up with other EMBA students?

Design your own global curriculum in the Weekend and Evening Programs:

Start with the basics: Many Weekend and Evening core courses have a global component. For example, in my course, Developing Leadership and Management Skills, we cover all the major skills a manager or leader needs to be effective, including a session on how to apply these in a global setting.

Customize to fit your goals: In the Weekend and Evening MBA Programs, you customize your MBA to fit your career goals by selecting at least 10 elective courses from nearly 30. So, if your goal is global management, you can select electives with a global focus.

Nearly one-third of the Weekend and Evening students choose a global immersion elective course. These are a lot more than a trip. For example, we’ll have three classroom sessions to discuss topics like history, culture, politics and geography before traveling to China. In addition, each student researches one of the companies we’ll visit and prepares a brief to share with the class. This front-end work is important because once we hit the ground in Beijing, we’ll be going nonstop for 14 days and the EMBA students will need to absorb information quickly.

How do you decide?

The best way to decide which Program is the best fit for you is to talk with alumni and students who have careers that match your goal. The EMBA staff will be glad to arrange a conversation or class visit.
