EMBA Career Tracks

Who benefits most from an EMBA program?

You’re doing well in your career, but you want more. If you’re on one of these career tracks, an MBA could put you ahead of the pack.

  • Climb: You’re aiming for the C-suite and want to sharpen your strategic and leadership skills.
  • Shift: You want to shift to a new functional area or industry, or move from a technical specialty into management. You need to broaden your analytical skill set and business perspective.
  • Launch: You dream of launching a company of your own and need contacts, confidence, and knowledge to turn your hot idea into reality.

Many students start on one career track, but their eyes are opened to new possibilities while they are in school. That’s great. Whatever direction you take your career, we’re here to help you make it happen.

I am currently changing course in my career after owning a wholesale and distributions bakery abroad for 16 years. I am at UNCW finishing my degree in business with two business concentrations and two minors. I will be looking for a job after graduation. I would like to continue my eduction with an MBA. The course of interest is the EMBA and the OneMBA. Being that I am not sure of my financial situation at the time of graduation I would like to know the financial possibilities available to help cover this program. Thank you.

      Hi Marilyn,

There are a few financial aid possibilities for you:
      1) We offer four $5,000 merit fellowships to each OneMBA class. We review your program application for these fellowships. You can see more details here: http://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/emba/apply/tuition.cfm

      2) You may want to approach your employer for full or partial sponsorship of the program. About two-thirds of our students receive some level of financial support from their employers. We can help you create a proposal for your employer.

      3) Kenan-Flagler Business School has a financial aid officer, Susan Brooks, who can help you navigate the federal and private student loan process. Her contact info is susan_brooks@unc.edu or 919.962.9096.

Please let me know if I can help in any other way.
