Career Management
What about career services?
As a Weekend, Evening or OneMBA student, you also receive support for turning your career goals into reality.
- Leadership Development: Whether you’re a climber, shifter, or launcher, you will develop a Personal Development Plan for fulfilling your career goals. You strengthen your leadership style through 360-degree feedback and workshops. Your writing and presentation skills are sharpened with coaching from communications professionals.
- Career Management Support: Our director of career management will provide you with one-on-one coaching, resume review, workshops, self-assessment tools, and other support for fulfilling your goals.
- Electives after graduation: You can keep your MBA current throughout your career by returning to UNC for more electives at a nominal cost.
- Alumni services: When you enter the Program, you can tap into the UNC Kenan-Flagler alumni network. You’ll be able to attend MBA for Executives networking events, access online job postings, and contact alumni career advisors.

As a Evening EMBA student can I appear for campus interviews that are offered for regular MBA students (especially if my company is sponsoring my MBA)?
Navin,
Your question doesn’t have a simple answer, so feel free to call me and we can discuss 919-962-2499. However, here is a short, general answer: All UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA for Executives students are eligible for the Recruiting Access Program, given that they meet the requirements for the program. You may view a description of the program and the requirements here: http://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/emba/advance/additionalservices.cfm. You will see that – if you are financially sponsored by your employer – we only allow you to participate with your employer’s approval. I also would like to emphasize that this program allows EMBA students to submit resumes only to companies who indicate they want to receive EMBA resumes. This is not 100% of companies coming to compus to recruit.
Finally, I do want to remind you that these companies are coming to campus primarily to recruit daytime MBAs for entry-level positions. Most of our EMBA students are over-qualified for these positions.
We continue to work very diligently to constantly enhance our career management offerings. You may find an overall of all programs here: http://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/emba/advance/careermanagement.cfm.
Thanks for your question.

Do you have any online only degrees in business?
Hi Robert,
We don’t offer online degrees at this time. However, when enrolled in any of our three executive MBA program – but particularly when in the Weekend and/or OneMBA Program – you conduct some of your work “virtually” with your study team. We provide you with an online meeting management tool that enables you and your teammates to share ideas and conduct conference calls inbetween class sessions. And, many of your professors will also utilize Web pages and other online materials to prep you for class.
Christine Ferrell, MBA for Executives.
